The Heartwood pendant derives its name from the innermost part of a tree trunk. It was created by directly casting recycled sterling silver into the centre of the found piece of charred wood pictured. The centrepiece of the pendant is an opal, proudly positioned where the wood had naturally deteriorated, forming a natural cavity for the silver to cradle the gemstone. This is a one-of-a-kind pendant completely designed by nature.
